Hundreds of Trefis members have created forecasts for two key drivers of Dell 's stock over the last week: (1) Dell Notebook Market Share, (2) Dell Notebook Pricing. Their forecasts suggest that Dell's Notebook Market Share and Dell's Notebook Pricing will trend higher than the Trefis forecast. These projections may not bode well for the stocks of Dell's notebook competitors such as HP and Apple.

Dell's Notebooks & Netbooks business constitutes 18% of the $17 Trefis price estimate for Dell's stock. In comparison, Managed Services, Consulting & Perot is 27%, Storage about 4%, and Desktops less than 3% of the Trefis estimate for Dell’s stock.

Considering the importance of the Notebooks & Netbooks business, Dell’s stock is quite sensitive to both 1) Dell Notebook Market Share and 2) Dell Notebooks Pricing. Below are the charts showing recent estimates created by Trefis members for the two drivers.

The average of forecast for Dell Notebook Market Share created by Trefis members indicated a small projected increase from 14.8% in 2010 to 16.0% by the end of the Trefis forecast period, compared to the baseline Trefis estimate of a decrease from 13.8% in 2010 to 13.2% by the end of the Trefis forecast period. The member estimates imply an upside of about 5% to the Trefis price estimate for Dell's stock. In the past, Dell Notebook Market Share has decreased from 18% in 2005 to 12.8% in 2009.

2. Dell Notebooks Pricing

We all know that Dell is a great manufacturer but how good are dell laptop computers? This question needs an answer and in what follows this is what you’ll see, the answer to the question “how good are dell laptop computer?” and maybe then you will decide if these laptops are worth buying or not. For this, we will talk a bit about a couple of Dell laptops and their features as well as their prices.

Dell’s Studio 15 is among the well-known laptops these days. The Intel Pentium Dual Core T4400 / 2.1 GHz processor that runs on 4GB of RAM will enable the laptop to perform even the most demanding tasks and on the 250GB SATA hard drive you’ll be able to store anything you need from simple documents to movies, games and photos. This laptop borrows some of the design features of the XPS series, but is a bit heavier and bulkier. On the 15.4-inch LED backlit display with a native resolution of 1440×900 your movies will look great and the 256MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD3400 will provide enough power for you to play some simple games. Another Dell laptop that’s worth mentioning is the Inspiron Mini iM1012-6870BK that although has a smaller hard drive than other similar laptops, the sophisticated design and the good battery life makes it become a choice for those who need a laptop computer to use when they are on the road. The Intel Atom N450 / 1.66 GHz processor is powered by 1GB of RAM which is enough for a mini laptop computer and the 160GB hard drive, although is smaller than the competition’s, is good enough for storing pretty much all the things you need. Also, there are no complaints regarding the keyboard that in such laptops is usually very small and uncomfortable to work with. The price of $374.49 makes a bit unacceptable the lack of the Bluetooth, but besides that, the laptops deserves its price.

The Dell Mini 10v's is a laptop more for those who want to keep an eye on the budget. Although it keeps some features mentioned in the previous laptop, some features are changed as to drop the price to $299. The 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 runs on 1GB of RAM and the hard drive’s storage capacity is the same as the Dell Mini’s, that is of 160GB. Although it has limited configuration options and the screen is not as nice as Mini’s, this is one of the little list of mini laptops that even though are cheap, they don’t look or feel so, and you should take advantage of that.

I do a variety of freelance video and photo work. This laptop has the RAM and hard drive space to make it great for productions and editing on the go. The firewire port is especially useful for hooking up a camcorder and recording directly to the laptop, or for transferring DV tapes from the camcorder to digital format. The webcam and built in microphone are good for video-conferencing and impromptu video-blogging. This computer is a great deal for the multi-media oriented buyer!

I had problems with the laptop, it is under maintenance since 29-May-2009 ,after purchased on May 10, 2009 from Amazon.com, a blue screen appears and then it reiniziate. I am not very pleased with the toshiba support center.

Toshiba is out with its latest E205 energy-saving laptop that has been built in collaboration with Best Buy. The Toshiba E205-S1904 Satellite is part of Best Buy’s ‘Blue Label’ product and offers several impressive features that include the ability to beam videos to a big-screen television and an impressive energy-saving display screen.

Here are some features on the new Toshiba Satellite notebook. The computer comes with a 14.1-inches High Definition LED-backlit display screen. The laptop is powered by the new Intel Core i5 processor and a 4GB RAM that is expandable up to 8GB. You can store up to 500GB of data on the hard drive. Panasonic has revealed more details about the Panasonic AG-AF100, the first lens-swapping Micro Four Thirds camcorder.

Micro Four Thirds is a lens format developed by Panasonic and Olympus, and has brought us stills cameras including the Panasonic Lumix GF1, Lumix G10 and Olympus Pen E-P2. The AF100 is set to be the first video-focused model in the format. It includes a full-sized Four Thirds sensor and adaptor for any 35mm lens.

The AF100 will shoot 1080p and 720p high-definition video, at frame rates of 59.94, 50, 29.97, 25 or 23.9 frames per second. It includes pro features such as HD-SDI out and an XLR socket for mic input.
The dual card slots support high-capacity SDXC cards.

Price and availability are yet to be confirmed.

How to Find Your Perfect Wedding Photographer

Sure I'm a little biased, but I feel that your wedding photographer is one of the most important investments you can make for your wedding.

You've heard the age-old adage of how your flowers will die, your food will get eaten, your dress will get hung up in the wardrobe for decades, but your wedding photographs will live forever.
I'm not suggesting that without wedding photographs you'll have nothing to remember your day by but there is a lot of truth in that old saying, I'm sure you'll agree.

If your wedding photographs will live forever, how do you go about finding the perfect person to record your wedding day?

WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM A PHOTOGRAPHER?

As a couple you need to work together to decide what you both want from a photographer.

*              Come to an agreement on whether you want a lot of formal pictures of your family and friends, or if you would prefer a more candid approach.

*              Would you like lots of pictures of all the details that you lovingly arranged, or are pictures of Grandad laughing at the best mans speech more important to you?

All of those things are important, but you need to work out what is more important to you both.

As an engaged couple, the chances of you spending a large amount of money on glossy wedding magazines is pretty high. I just know!

*              Which wedding pictures caught your eye?

*              Natural or posed?

*              Did the posed ones look almost natural?

*              Have you been to a recent wedding where the photographer impressed you before you even saw the pictures?

Find out who these photographers are! The ones in magazines are there because they want you to hire them, they're looking for more work because they love what they do!

Most photographers have a blog, they're designed especially for you. Look for photographers in your rough area who have blogs and find a few that you admire.

Google this: “[your nearest city] wedding photography blog”

You'll most likely be inundated with a large amount of blogs, some better than others.
If you are looking for someone to cover your day in a photojournalistic way, look on the WPJA for example.

WHAT IS IT YOU LIKE ABOUT THEIR STYLE?

Out of the few photographers that really stand out to you, is there one that you can't keep away from?

*          Try to pinpoint the reasons why you keep on going back to see their pictures.

*          Look for originality and humour in their pictures as well use of initiative.

You don't need an understanding of cameras and lenses for these things!

Can you imagine yourself in their pictures?

If they have a blog, look through all their recent weddings and learn to understand their style.

What is their style of writing like?

You should be able to tell if they have a real passion for weddings!

BE SURE BEFORE YOU BOOK

Try to get to know them through their pictures and style before you even meet them.

*          Before you meet up, ask your photographer to bring a sample wedding album or two.

*          Do you like the album and the layout of the images?

*          Are there other options if it isn't to your taste?

When you meet up, you must both like your photographer as a person. Could you be friends with them? You don't have to become friends with them of course but you do need to be that comfortable with them.
They will be with you on the happiest and most important day of your lives sharing those special moments.
You wouldn't invite someone that you don't like to be a guest at your own wedding would you?

Your prospective photographer needs to be someone who is very interested in you. You'll know if they're being genuine.

Notice that none of the advice I've given is about megapixels and special effects in Photoshop.
If you like pictures with special effects applied, then there is nothing wrong with that. Photoshop doesn't make a bad picture good, in fact it often makes a good picture bad.
I would recommend though, looking for a photographer with images that look as though they will age well; Pictures that aren't faddy.

A few questions you should ask your photographer are:

1.       Will you be the only person shooting our wedding?

2.       Are your packages flexible?

3.       What type of insurance do you have?

4.       Do you have back-up equipment?

5.       What will you do if you are sick and cannot cover our wedding?

6.       How long will it take for us to see the pictures?

Choosing a photographer doesn't have to be hard.
You must simply love your photographers work and have total confidence in them.
If you follow this advice, I'm sure you'll find your perfect photographer that can record your day just as you remember it!

  Sony doesn't really make powerhouse computers, but seriously with this system at it's price could of been a lot nicer.  I know what you all are thinking.  This is going to be some hate review that busts on this poor machine, but it's not.  I just want to let everyone know what they are in store for when they purchase this notebook.  Sony is one of the leading manufacturer's of electronics, and computers are definitely one of there high points now a days.  The look is what catches most people's eyes when they first see a Sony Computer.  First things first.  The thin and light feel of the S260 is what makes this a nice system.  At a little over 4 pounds, you can't go wrong.  Now with this light feel to it, comes the limited hardware.  How much hardware do you think this system can handle with it's 4 pound base?  The S260 lacks graphics, so any gamer would have a very hard time playing games on even the lowest settings.  This wouldn't be the kind of computer you would want to give your highly active gamer of a grandson, let's put it that way.  If you are going to college or a new job, this is probably a good machine for that, as it runs on a Pentium M processor at 1.7 GHZ, which is very good for this chipset.  Of course with the lighter laptops that feature the Centrino or Mobile technology, comes complete with a four hour minimum battery life, which happens to be great for anyone traveling, etc.  Taking a look at the graphics though, really disappoints me.  32 MB of video RAM is horrible and embarassing.  Computers over five years ago had this amount of RAM, and even though this machine wasn't built for the high end gamer, 64 could of been the minimum.  At 1280 x 800 resolution, there is not much to view on the 13 inch widescreen.  Sure the visuals are nice when you are using Native Resolution, but don't get overly excited, because at 114 pixels per inch at 32 MB's isn't too shabby.  Watching a movie, or just using the computer at it's minimum is fine, but anything over active would be too much for the S260.  Going into the sound very briefly.  Sony didn't do too bad on there speakers.  The sound doesn't distort when you turn it up loud.  It just lacks some bass, so if you want to put some boom into the music, this wouldn't work too well.  Connections are simple, yet some are available that aren't for most lightweight computers.  The S260 features two USB 2.0 ports, a 56 K modem, and an Ethernet port, that all come covered for protection when purchased.  The S260 comes prebuilt with one PCI Card slot, which normally is limited to two, but is limited to one this time, which was kind of weird.  The laptop comes with a Firewire port, which is very nice.  A lot of laptops do not have Firewire capability, which add's points to the S260.  Another neat entertainment feature is the six pin port that allows you to connect a camcorder or such to it, so digital editing, etc is not a problem.  I liked this a lot, and it really made me look at this system.  The system ships with XP Home Edition, which in my opinion is the weaker version of professional, but that's just me.  Home just doesn't give me the kind of condition I like in an OS, so Professional should have been the main OS.  A top point that gives Sony a great reputation is the service they offer.  I don't care what anybody says, Sony is probably the best in service.  Dell really didn't too well in the service field, Compaq or HP has limited service, but Sony is just great.  You can call up customer service, and they will have an answer for you every time.  I like that in Sony, and always have, so keep up the good work there.  Getting back to hardware information, the S260 is prebuilt with a RAM slot filled with 512 MB of RAM backed by a 333 MHZ bus.  That is pretty nice in a system like this, as there really isn't a lot of power to use.  At 1.7 GHZ, you can't really burn out a machine like this, so there is more than enough RAM in this baby to get you going where you need to go.  Average processor speed for a Pentium M processor is 1.5 GHZ, and the leading brand goes up to around 2.0 GHZ, with that not being really needed with 512 MB of RAM backing you up, it still makes some sort of difference.  1.7 GHZ is fine for the Sony S260, and I didn't see any problems when running the OS, and any programs along with it.  All in all the S260 is a nice system set packed for the average computer user.  If you want to play games, I highly recommend another system, but if you are off to college, or using this for work or just an around the house laptop, this is a machine fit for you.  7 out 10 is my rating for this.

Anyone who has a laptop knows that most of them require a cool area to work properly. This tech gadget, however, will work properly in hot and humid temperatures and in direct sunlight. The basic trend in 2009 will be lighter tech gadgets with more memory and the ability to adapt to almost any circumstances. China-made laptop battery caused trouble for HP and made them recall Laptop Batteries after it was found they had the tendency to overheat. It’s important to note, however, that this was not the result of any specific incident.

The affected battery packs were distributed worldwide in a few notebook computers manufactured between August 2007 and May 2008, HP said in a statement Wednesday.

“HP fully stands behind the products it makes and has taken a proactive approach to this situation to ensure the safety of our customers and the integrity and quality of our products,” Xinhua reported quoting the company statement.

Customers with affected products will receive a replacement battery pack for each verified, recalled battery pack at no cost, the statement said.If your notebook is listed on this program website, determine whether this recall program affects your battery by following these steps:

• Print a copy of these steps for your reference which will assist you in collecting the relevant information to determine if you are part of this program.
• Save and close all open programs. Shut down your notebook.
• Remove any external power source.
• Remove the battery from the notebook.

Or you could simply go to HP website and follow the instructions they have put there.

After making the decision to schedule your boudoir photography session it's time to start preparing. Here are a few tips to ensure you get the best boudoir portraits.

1. Makeup

It is strongly recommended to hire a professional makeup artist. It will add to the overall cost of the boudoir portraits but will be well worth it in the long run. You may find that some boudoir photographers include a professional makeup artist in your boudoir package. And others photographers will be able refer you to a makeup artist.

Remember to allow at least 30 – 45 minutes if you're having your make up applied or an hour and a half if you are having your hair styled as well.

If you choose to do your makeup yourself here are a couple of pointers:

- Eye makeup and blush should be fairly heavily applied. Try and be neat and precise. Boudoir photography tends to be unforgiving.
- Don't use frosted lipstick! It appears too light in photographs.
- Keep eye shadow a shade lighter than normal to accentuate your eyes.
- Lipstick should be at least a shade deeper, particularly if you have dark hair or are going to wear dark clothing.
- Use powder based make-up to maintain a matte finish on your skin.

Clothing and Props

Boudoir, or erotic photography, is often associated with nudity or lingerie. As a matter of fact, a lot of men find their wives dressed as it's also known in their gear to be more attractive than dressing in lingerie. Naturally you should to stick with something you are comfortable with.

The choice of props and clothing for your boudoir portraits are literally endless. Some interesting possibilities are:

His favorite sports team jersey, some tools of his trade, his uniform or a favorite button down shirt. Or maybe something a little more classy like a slinky cocktail dress, a fur coat, a blouse, gloves and hats and of course the old favorites stockings and high heels.

Perhaps sexy choices like a bodystocking, colorful panties and bra, boy shorts, way too tight cut-offs – actually anything tight and anything transparent! If you have any tasteful photographic nudes you want to copy, bring the photos along. Non traditional items are also very effective for boudoir photography.

Some goodies are a bath robe or towel, tight shorts, biker shorts, tight or short tank tops, tees with rips or holes, anything leather, scarves, mini skirts, your slumming at home outfit, boxer shorts, the tools of your trade, workout outfit, cowboy boots and hat, and anything he has given you.

Some great ideas for boudoir portrait props include most home or romantic items, flowers, sun glasses, scarves, beads, wine glasses or teddy bears. Try and consider your choice of these items from his perspective. This is a gift for him after all. Don't be afraid to be daring and creative.

When thinking boudoir, don't forget about the details, check for labels on new items and look out for tears or holes, unless you want them there, of course!

Boudoir photography takes a bit of planning and time. So consider these other tips for your big day.

Relax.

Have something light to eat before the shoot and try and have a bottle of water or juice handy. If you feel a little nervous, ask your sister or girlfriend to sit in with you. You could even split the session with them!

Manage your time.

There is nothing that ruins the atmosphere of boudoir photography quicker than being stressed. Leave yourself enough time to have your hair and makeup done and to get home in good time to complete any last minute errands.

Try to wear loose fitting clothes that don't leave marks.

These take awhile to clear and can waste valuable time. Button up shirts will leave your makeup and hair intact and clear deodorants allow for a larger range of the poses that make for great boudoir portraits.

“I look at some other videos. i’m not naming names, because I don’t want that to be mentioned. There is the thing with sexuality. I’m naked for 13 seconds, and these people are naked the whole time and gyrating and saying come “lick on my lollipop,” and “suck on my cinnamon roll,” and, you know, suggesting sex. People are uncomfortable with sexuality that’s not for male consumption. could be ‘cause I did it in public too. Do you think people would have been complaining if I had on high-heel shoes?”

“Photography is an art for lazy people.” So said Robert Frank, the celebrated Swiss photographer, to Allen Ginsberg, the celebrated New Jersey poet, as they gathered in a Lower East Side flat to make a movie. Frank was at the height of his fame after publishing his monumental collection of photographs, “The Americans,” but had newly re-imagined himself as a beatnik and filmmaker. Also assembled in that apartment were Jack Kerouac, Gregory Corso, and an ensemble cast of hangers-on, lovers, admirers, and jazzmen, ready to conceive another erratic self-portrait.

The film that emerged from that afternoon in 1959 was called “Pull My Daisy,” and though it fell for ages into obscurity, it was reissued in 2008 as the first volume of “Robert Frank: The Complete Film Works,” a beautifully packaged DVD set from Steidl. (Volumes 4, 5 and 6 will go on sale in October.) Narrated by Kerouac in a bluesy ad-lib and built around the wistful tale of a bishop and a railway brakemen, “Pull My Daisy” skitters and crashes around the room like a bad ballerina. But at its end, it collapses at our feet as a beautifully drugged-up and dreamed-out elucidation of our almighty American bards.

After all, we could always bet on the Beats to be their own best biographers. Though they’ve certainly left us an intriguing catalog of written work to document their lives and times, Frank’s film adds an invigorating dimension. But Frank wasn’t the only one pointing a lens on the Beats. Even as Frank was turning away from still photography, Ginsberg was crossing from one end of his remarkable life to the other with a camera in hand, and the images he assembled have been superbly organized into an exhibition at the National Gallery of Art in Washington (through Sept. 6), accompanied by a glossy volume from Prestel.

The simultaneous resurfacing of Frank’s films and Ginsberg’s photographs gives us a chance to shine the curious light of our decade onto a bewildering moment in American art. Pulling their grimy slice of the old Atomic Age into our confused new millennium, these works stir up the smoky Bowery, hold a lantern to the San Francisco fogs, and re-enchant an exhausted Beat cosmos for a new moment.

We see William Burroughs and Paul Bowles frowning in sun-bleached Morocco; Bob Dylan draped in an overcoat in Tompkins Square Park; and Gary Snyder wearing a monk’s traveling garments in a Kyoto garden. We see Jack Kerouac, young and vital, howling in the Manhattan streets; he reappears later as a drunken and bloated shut-in, just short of death and a long way from the open road.

And since Ginsberg was a great voyager, so we become as well. We travel to Dakar and Leningrad, to sun-filled Parisian dormer windows, to the rooftops of Benares and Marrakech, and to James Joyce’s snowy Zurich grave. Ginsberg’s elaborate, handwritten captions, occasionally composed with Dylan’s help, narrate these scenes in the poet’s characteristically long, Whitmanesque lines, while a spontaneity of prose straight out of a Kerouac all-nighter yanks the images along like an eager pet.

The captions themselves, executed as later-life, retrospective afterthoughts, act as concentrated poem-documentaries and leave us with a welcome first-person perspective of Ginsberg’s peculiar element. When the project is taken as a whole, it seems to serve Ginsberg’s poetry almost as well as William Blake’s prints did for his own verse: as a necessary and lovely companion-opus that springs with new life from the spirit of the writings themselves.

Oddly, Ginsberg’s photographs sat for decades in closets and drawers, then in the tombs of a Columbia University archive. But when scholars finally descended on them with their lamps and spectacles, they found something magnificent. With his secondhand Kodak Retina, the poet had surreptitiously illustrated not only his energetic generation, but his own oeuvre, leaving behind a catalog of images to reawaken the euphoric thesis that he’d scribbled across the arch of his lifetime: namely, that sex and poetry and the “cosmic vibrations” of youth and life are way, way awesome.
